Life has been a bit strange for the past 3 weeks because I’ve been on a hiatus from work - my regular routine has been off, I’ve actually been missing work a little (horror of horrors!), and I’ve been feeling a bit thrown for a loop. What to do with so much time off, and especially when I have no money to travel somewhere fun?

I’ve realised that I really enjoy the schedule of having a regular job. I like that structure in my life. I respond well to structure, and I find that I get more done when I have more going on.

I think I’ve mostly been feeling ‘off’ because work has been so hectic and crazy for the past 3 months, and now all of a sudden nothing. Too much contrast, it’s causing my head to spin!

This is my last week of hiatus this week, as of next Monday I’ll be back at work. I’m sort of looking forward to it. That might make me a bit of a nerd. Also in the next couple weeks, there suddenly seems to be so much fun stuff going on outside of work too! (What is it with boom or bust?!) Some of these fun things: going to Victoria for a bonfire party, friend’s snowboarding film premiere, volunteering at a fancy charity gala, going to a Canucks game (my first one!!!), going to a Lion’s game (I am NOT a football fan, not sure how this will go over), and cupcake vodka premiere party. Oh the glamour.

Oh, and my birthday. On Sunday. I’m leaving my QC and embarking on my late 20s. So much to look forward to ;)
